02 / PRIVACY POLICY

How do we use your information?

We use your details to manage orders, payments, delivery, collection, returns, refunds and enquiries. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you, or taking steps you request before entering into a contract.

Accounts and website administration

We use account details to provide account access and administer the website. Our bases are performance of a contract and our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure online shop. Where a third-party sign-in service is offered and you choose to use it, the information shared depends on the permissions you grant.

We use relevant information to protect the website, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our terms and maintain records. We rely on legitimate interests in protecting our business and customers, and legal obligations where applicable. We balance our legitimate interests against your rights and reasonable expectations.

Marketing, measurement and feedback

We may request feedback, assess our services and measure campaign performance where permitted by law. We rely on consent where required, including for advertising cookies and similar tracking. For other permitted processing, we may rely on legitimate interests in understanding and improving our service. Email marketing is sent only where consent or another lawful permission applies.

Testimonials and reviews

Where we seek to publish a separate testimonial using your name, we ask for permission. To ask about updating or removing a testimonial, contact webadmin@tpckitchen.co.uk. Public product reviews are handled in accordance with the review service and your data protection rights.

Advertising and profiling

Advertising partners may use permitted online activity and referral information to personalise advertising and measure its effectiveness. This can involve grouping visitors by interests or activity. You can manage relevant cookies and exercise your applicable rights; see the Cookie Policy.

03 / PRIVACY POLICY

We share relevant information with service providers where needed to operate the business and deliver the services you request. These may include payment processing, fulfilment, delivery, hosting, security, customer support, reviews, analytics and marketing providers.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful official requests, establish or defend legal claims, prevent fraud or protect someone’s vital interests in an emergency. Information may also be shared in connection with a proposed sale, financing, merger or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell or rent your personal information for another organisation’s promotional use. Sharing for advertising and measurement is described in this policy and the Cookie Policy. We rely on the applicable lawful basis for each purpose and obtain consent where required.

Each provider handles information under its own privacy notice.

Delivery and order fulfilment

Royal Mail and ShipStation receive the contact, address and order information needed to arrange shipments, delivery notifications and tracking.

IONOS hosts the website. Website administration, security and backup providers may access or store information as needed to operate and protect it. Backup services may include Dropbox where used.

Advertising and analytics

Google services, including Google Analytics and Google Ads, Meta/Facebook advertising and conversion tracking, and Microsoft/Bing advertising may process website activity and campaign information where permitted by your choices and applicable law.

Affiliate referrals

Amazon affiliate services and Awin may process referral or campaign information where their affiliate links or services are used.

The information each provider receives depends on the service you use and the permissions or choices that apply. Providers may act on our instructions or as independent controllers for particular activities. Their own privacy notices explain how they use information in those circumstances.

05 / PRIVACY POLICY

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, for website functions, security, preferences, measurement and advertising. Cookies necessary to provide a service you request may be used without consent; other technologies require consent unless a lawful exemption applies.

Advertising and behavioural tracking require consent. Continuing to browse or reading this policy is not, by itself, consent. Where cookie controls are provided, use them to make or change your choices. You can also manage cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect basket, checkout or account functions.

For details of the technologies used and how to manage them, read our Cookie Policy. This privacy notice does not replace the consent controls required for relevant tracking.

06 / PRIVACY POLICY

Google Maps

We use Google Maps to show our collection location and help you plan a visit. When a map loads or you interact with it, Google may receive information such as your IP address, device details and usage information. Google processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Read the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps terms. Any related cookies or similar technologies are subject to the applicable consent rules.

07 / PRIVACY POLICY

Links to other websites

Our website may link to payment providers, delivery services, social media, affiliate partners and other third-party websites. Those organisations have their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover information you provide directly to them; please review their privacy notices before using their services.

08 / PRIVACY POLICY

How long do we keep your information?

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention or dispute-related requirements. The appropriate period depends on the type of information, the purpose, the sensitivity of the data and any applicable legal requirements.

Order and financial records

We retain relevant transaction and accounting records for the statutory periods that apply, and longer where necessary for a dispute, investigation or legal hold. Closing an account does not automatically require deletion of these records.

Accounts, support and marketing

Account information is retained while needed to provide the account and deal with associated requests. Support records are kept while needed to handle an enquiry and related issues. Marketing information is retained while there is a lawful basis to use it; a limited suppression record may be retained after an opt-out so we can respect that choice.

Deletion and backups

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where appropriate. Copies in backups may remain until the relevant backup cycle expires, with access restricted and no routine use beyond recovery or legally required purposes.

Contact webadmin@tpckitchen.co.uk if you would like information about the retention criteria applying to a particular record.

09 / PRIVACY POLICY

How do we protect your information?

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Access is limited to people and service providers who need it for their work, and security is considered when selecting and using those services.

No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep account credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Avoid sending sensitive payment information through email or live chat.

10 / PRIVACY POLICY

Children’s information

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from, or direct marketing to, children under 18. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has provided personal information so we can review it and take appropriate steps.

Where deletion is appropriate, we will remove the information, subject to any legal requirement to retain particular records. Contact webadmin@tpckitchen.co.uk.

11 / PRIVACY POLICY

Your UK privacy rights

Under applicable UK data protection law, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure, restrict processing, receive information in a portable format and object to certain processing. The rights available depend on the purpose and lawful basis involved; they are not absolute.

Consent and marketing

You can withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. This does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You can object to direct marketing at any time, including profiling related to that marketing. Use an email’s unsubscribe link or contact us; necessary order and service messages may still be sent.

Your account

You can review and update available account details through My Account. Contact us to request account closure or exercise a right not available in the account settings. We may retain records needed for legal obligations or other lawful purposes.

Complaints

Please contact us if you are concerned about how we use your information. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to contact us first to exercise that right.

12 / PRIVACY POLICY

Browser privacy signals

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track (DNT) setting. A DNT signal does not replace the consent or preference choices relevant to this website. Use available cookie controls, browser settings and the contact details below to manage your privacy choices.

Other privacy signals and any legal obligations associated with them are considered under the laws that apply. See the Cookie Policy for information about tracking choices.

13 / PRIVACY POLICY

Our UK service and international processing

TPC Kitchen sells and delivers within the UK. Our website can nevertheless be accessed from other countries, and some service providers may store or process information outside the UK.

Where we make a restricted international transfer of personal information, applicable UK data protection rules require an appropriate transfer mechanism. Depending on the destination and provider, this may involve UK adequacy regulations or contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to approved contractual clauses, together with any required assessment and additional measures.

Contact webadmin@tpckitchen.co.uk to ask about a particular provider, destination or transfer safeguard. Rights under another country’s laws may also apply where that law governs the processing; our UK-only delivery policy does not remove statutory rights.

14 / PRIVACY POLICY

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, providers, data practices or applicable law. The date shown near the top identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will bring material changes or new uses of information to your attention before they take effect.
